The services/facilities included in the cost are all meals, hotel
accomodation, guide service, transport and all required permits, all entry
fees and Government Royalty. On treks we provide trekking
crew, trekking equipment (excluding sleeping bag) and pack animals.
Not included in the cost
The services/facilities not included in the cost are Visa fee of USD 20
each payable on arrival at Paro Airport, Departure tax of USD 10 each, all
alcoholic drinks and mineral water, riding ponies, laundry and other
personal expenses. Also not included is Insurance including Medical Insurance & Airlift
in case of an emergency. We urge you to purchase rescue insurance if you are going trekking.
Mode of transport
There are no domestic air or rail services in Bhutan. A travel within Bhutan for
your sightseeing will be by motor vehicle. Motor
roads are well maintained and connect all districts. The
mountainous terrain and winding road restrict the average speed of
vehicles to less than 35 km/hour. All vehicles used for your trip will be
not older than 5 years with the most experienced drivers on the terrain.
Food
The meals on our trips will be American Breakfast with option of Indian
or Bhutanese. Lunch and dinner will be mixed cuisine
(Chinese/Indian/Continental/Bhutanese) with 6 to 8 items. On the
treks it will be the same except for lunch which will be a packed lunch.
Accommodation
All tourists are lodged only in accommodation approved and classified by
the Department of Tourism. However there are no 'Star' categorized hotels
in Bhutan. The rooms will be clean with attached toilets with hot
water facilities in Western Bhutan. Hotels in Central & Eastern Bhutan
provide common toilet facilities but will be clean. All hotels have a
separate restaurant and bar.
